Last updated: June 30, 2026

Violire is an eReader app for reading, organizing, annotating, and studying EPUB books. This Privacy Policy explains what information Violire handles and how it is used.

Data Stored on Your Device

Violire stores your library data on your device, including imported books, reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes, collections, reading settings, reading statistics, and app preferences.

This data is used to provide the app’s reading, organization, annotation, statistics, and personalization features.

iCloud Sync

If iCloud is available and enabled on your device, Violire may sync your library data through Apple’s iCloud/CloudKit service so your books, progress, notes, highlights, and related reading data can stay available across your devices.

This sync is handled through Apple’s services and your iCloud account.

Third-Party Book Catalogs

Violire may let you browse or search third-party public book catalogs, such as Project Gutenberg. When you search or download from these catalogs, your search terms or download requests may be sent to the relevant catalog provider so the requested feature can work.

AI Features

Violire may offer optional AI-powered reading features. If you choose to use OpenRouter as an AI provider, the text you select or the reading context needed for the requested AI feature may be sent to OpenRouter for processing.

Your OpenRouter API key is stored securely on your device using the system Keychain. Violire does not use this data for advertising or tracking.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Violire may offer optional paid subscriptions through Apple’s in-app purchase system. Purchase and subscription processing is handled by Apple. Violire uses StoreKit to check whether your subscription is active.

Violire does not collect your payment card details.

Data Not Used for Tracking

Violire does not use your data for third-party advertising, targeted advertising, or tracking across apps and websites. Violire does not sell your personal data.
